Incredible YellowJackets

There is nothing more exciting than seeing your team come from a position of being more than 10 points down in a game to a shocking victory in the last seconds. That is exactly what happened in the men's YellowJacket basketball game against Mississippi College this past month. You can see it for yourself on YouTube here

Tomorrow, our men's basketball team will be competing against Mary Hardin Baylor in the ASC Tournament in Richardson, Texas. You can watch the game live at noon online, and get live stats, broadcasts, box scores, game recaps, bracket, photos and post-game interviews on the conference's Tournament Central page and Texas-Dallas's athletic website.

Remember that if you live in the East Texas area, all LETU games are open to the public and we'd love to have our wonderful alumni out to support all of our teams. Pack up the kids and come out to the fields to watch an evening of baseball or an afternoon softball game this Spring. You can keep track of all of our sports schedules on our athletics website

As an athlete, there is nothing in the world like having a crowd full of fans to cheer you on. If you can't make it to LETU games in person, encourage our players by following their game progress on our LETU Athletics Facebook Page. Post a message of congratulations and support...they mean the world to our incredible players!

Incredible Reasons To Give

It's easy in the day to day busy-ness of life to sometimes miss the little connections that are truly massive in the scope of our lives. We had just such a reminder this past weekend as the representatives of major companies ate with LETU students who are the beneficiaries of their generosity. These students simply would not be able to attend LeTourneau University were it not for the kindness of strangers. Strangers who don't know them, but know that what they will accomplish will be great. They know simply on the basis that these are LeTourneau University students. Changing the world comes as naturally to them as waking up in the morning.

If you have a few minutes, watch the video presentation from that event this past weekend below. It is a  simple two way message: "Why I give" and "Thank you."

IncrediblyAlumni: Dwayne King - Missionary Pilot

LETU alumni are all over the world doing incredible work. They are truly changing the world through their passion for the Lord Jesus Christ and the excellence that they bring into the workplace every single day. We're bringing you stories about LETU alumni who are making a big splash! Tell us yours.

LETU alumnus Dwayne King ('YEAR), founder of Kingdom Air Corps, got a shout-out in the February 2013 issue of AOPA Pilot Magazine. The feature, At Home in the Kingdom: Flying with Missionaries in Alaska, highlights Dwayne's work with Brooks Range Bible Camp, the company's aviation-themed youth camp in the middle of mountainous Alaska.

LeTourneau aviation A&P students and instructors visit King Ranch, in Chickaloon, Ala., each summer to help maintain the company's fleet and lend a hand at summer camp. Watch this video to see for yourself!

Kingdom Air Corps exists to prepare missionary pilots and mechanics for "real world" missionary environments. What could be more 'incredibly LeTourneau' than using your professional calling to make an impact for Christ?

This is the Day

Every step we take in life leads us somewhere. Every new day provides new opportunities for adventure. And every single day, we are thankful for you, our LeTourneau Nation. We are thankful that the Lord guided your steps to LeTourneau University. We pray each day that you are blessed. That you are making a profound difference in the world around you. We know you are. We hear your stories.

Every day has incredible potential. We put together a handful of short 1-minute videos that highlight the incredible days in just a few of our LeTourneau family. We know you'll be blessed to see how these amazing LETU students and alumni are truly changing the world. It won't take you long to watch them. But I believe they will truly encourage you. The first one is embedded below. Click on the link with the four images below to see the rest of the videos.

We know that many of you in the LeTourneau Nation have stories like these. It seems that every LETU student and graduate is changing the world in some way. Some of you are across the globe on the mission field. Some of you are doing it right here at home, at your workplace. If you have one of these stories and would like us to consider it for inclusion in this exciting project, drop us an email. If you are a world-changer, we'd love to know about it. With days like these, imagine what tomorrow will hold!
