Flying is about more than looking good in aviator sunglasses. It's about dedication, precision, and never settling for less than excellence. Take it from the LETU Sting Precision Flight Team - they just brought home a first place trophy from the National Intercollegiate Flying Association's (NIFA) regional SAFECON competition.

But this isn't the first time the Sting Precision Flight Team had made LETU proud, and it won't be the last. In 2010, the team took home the coveted Loening Trophy, the oldest and most prestigious of all collegiate aviation awards, as well as the American Airlines Competition Safety Award. In 2011, team coach Brad Wooden won NIFA Coach of the Year, and in 2012, the team won the Competition Safety Award at nationals.
The team will compete in this year's NIFA nationals May 12-17 at Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. To see more photos or learn more about competition results, visit the LETU Sting Precision Flight Team's Facebook page.
